The dates and timing of Fill a Prescription for the Needy™ was most important for the Baton Rouge Chapter of the St. Vincent de Paul Society for numerous reasons. It was planned during the season of Lent, beginning on the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday and concluding on Easter Monday. Our promotions further emphasized the 40 days and 40 nights of the campaign. This period also is a time in which many television and radio stations do not have a campaign. Other than St. Patrick's Day, there are no other holidays or traditional events scheduled.
