Our next mission was getting the canisters into the pharmacies. Dr. Bryan and Pat attended the membership meetings with the Baton Rouge Area Board of Pharmacists, an organization that networks the efforts and responsibilities of pharmacists in the area. They recognized the importance of The St. Vincent de Paul Community Pharmacy and immediately partnered in our plan and efforts. A retired pharmacist, pharmacy owner and advisor with the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Howard Bolton, further empowered area pharmacists to champion this effort as their community service project. We were now able to secure an outlet to display hundreds of pharmacies throughout the diocese.
